What inspired you to write the song?
"Not Enough Love is a song I wrote in 2006, which has been in the back of my mind for 14 years, before I finally finished it. Musically, the inspiration came from guitar picking one lonely winter evening in my apartment. The text is about a person I know, who was isolated socially, both in private and at work. They were never invited in because they were different. The song is about the struggle to convince new people about yourself."
What do you want a listener to gain from hearing the song?
"I want the listener to get pulled into my universe, while I tell this story of new acquaintances, care, failure and attention."
How does the song relate to Chris Frank Jr.'s universe?
"The song is the first step in Chris Frank Jr.'s journey as it forms the basis of the sound in this new universe."
Is there anything else that you think is important to highlight about the song?
"When I sat there alone in 2006 with the guitar in hand, fumbling with the shape of the song, I didn’t think it would fit into the style of the band I was playing in back then. It was therefore quickly put away, but it has always been there in the back of my mind, and I have had it up for review several times. However, the same story kept repeating - it did not fit into the "band" sound.
Not Enough Love has been 14 years in the making, and will now see the light of day for the first time in my solo project."
